This Privacy Policy informs you about how we process personal data when you visit our website, use the Ogawa BJJ  app (available via Apple Pay and Google Pay), register for affiliations, or otherwise interact with us (“we”, “us”).

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Austrian laws, in particular the Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021).

2) What data we process and for what purposes
• Membership & affiliation management: Account registration, bookings, attendance, belts/gradings.
• Payments & invoices: Processed via Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Retention of billing data: 7 years (BAO/UGB).

• Health & emergency information (optional): Only processed with your explicit consent.
• Communication: Handled via Gmail (email inquiries, support).
• Marketing (newsletter, offers): Sent via Gmail – only with consent or pursuant to §174 TKG 2021 (soft opt-in, can be unsubscribed at any time).
• Photos & videos: As part of training/events with consent, for website & social media.
• Video surveillance (CCTV): We operate 3 cameras in our training hall that monitor the mat area. Purpose: member safety, theft prevention, property protection. Retention period: max. 72 hours, except in case of security related incidents. Notice signs are posted. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3) Recipients (service providers & partners)
We use the following service providers under GDPR-compliant agreements:
• App & membership system: Ogawa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu App (Apple Pay & Google Pay integration)
• Payments: Stripe, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay
• Website & hosting: Wix.com Ltd. (Tel Aviv, Israel – covered by EU adequacy decision)
• Email & newsletter: Gmail (Google Ireland Ltd.; data transfers secured by EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses)

4) International data transfers
• Wix (Israel): Covered by EU adequacy decision.
• Google (Gmail, Google Pay): Participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; additional SCCs if necessary.
• Stripe & PayPal: Use SCCs and/or Data Privacy Framework.

5) Retention periods
• Membership data: Duration of membership and affiliation + statutory limitation periods.
• Billing and tax data: 7 years.
• Marketing data: Until consent is withdrawn.
• CCTV recordings: Max. 72 hours, except for security-related incidents.

6) Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent given. Direct complaints to the Austrian DSB.

7) Security
We implement technical and organizational measures (encryption, access restrictions, training) to protect your data.

8) Children & minors
For online services in Austria: Children under 14 years require parental/guardian consent.

9) Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on our website.
